Question about hosting/traffic results

I am presently going to create websites commercially. I have done a handful, but just for myself and friends. I enjoy it immensely.

Anyway, I am curious as to hosting. I have an outstanding host and realize that I can place numerous other domains in with mine. Big problem I see is statistics. I have one domain of mine as a sub domain to another. The statistics for both domains a clumped together. I don't think this is the way it is done, is it?

You should have logfiles for ALL domains and subdomains.

If your hosting company cannot give you this, it's time to move on ;-)
