hi everyone:
I went ahead and spent money on a community college class and they taught me how to use frontpage to build sites. I feel pretty comforable with it but I don't know what to do next. I want to build a site that I can use for affiliate revenue like the many people that inspired me to jump into this cyberworld. Can someone guide me on what I should be doing next?

Eccus, you learned to use FP, but you might want to learn the basics of simple straight HTML now so you can modify and tweak code when you want to.

Along with Forum 20, also start reading here and getting into the basics of SEO. It's the cheapest way to start getting traffic which you'll have to do to get affiliate income.

After you build a site, you have to start to get the visitors. Optimizing is a whole lot easier if it's built into putting the site together from the ground up in the first place, and it helps if you know which keywords you intend to target before that first line of code is ever written.

first you have to have a place to put a web site, so get some space and upload your pretty new Front Page site.

Congratulations on the achievement. Now use notepad for a while to better understand how HTML hangs together. You will need to hand-edit sites from time to time.

When you have read most of the advice on WW, you will be ready to move on beyond FP.

From what I have read and limited experiments with affiliate programs, AdSense is the most profitable for me. Focus on the content of your site and make sure you get lots of repeat visitors.

1. Pick a topic for your site, something you're very interested in and that has held your interest for a long while. If you have some expertise on the topic, that makes it easier.

2. Imagine/envision how you want your site to look and what it will offer. Information on your chosen topic is a given, the more, the better! Enhance your site with images or a message board perhaps...

3. Build your site.

4. Post your site onto a server so people can visit.

5. Go shopping for affiliate programs that compliment your site's topic and add them to your site.

6. Tune, refine, enhance and promote your site to maximize your revenue.

As you explore each of these seemingly simple steps, you'll find there's a wealth of things to learn associated with each of them. Have fun! :)
