PDA URL General Info: 3rd request for help

I have a small website. The index.htm redirects the client to a homepage.htm. This works fine for javascript-enabled lap/desktop browsers. Further, the iPAQ can access (javascript-using) webpages on the same site when explicit webpages are given as URL (e.g., website.com/pagename.htm) but when website.com is specified the URL yields a blank page on the iPAQ. Can anyone reveal to me the secret of what gives, so I may correct my problem?

This could be simply because the iPaq does not understand the method you use for the redirect.

I'm no expert on iPaqs but perhaps others are - how, exactly, is it done on your index.html page?

Do you have any content on index.htm, other than a redirect?

What method are you using to perform your redirect?

My redirect is via javascript location.href="filename.htm..."
The thing that is puzzling is that this same method works during LATER javascript routines used by other pages on the iPAQ, just not right away on the index.htm page
