New router..how do I test it

I just set up a new router and am trying to test the security settings. I know I saw a post that had several links to test potential hacker and snooper points but can't seem to find it. Anyone help?

nmap is awesome, but it takes a few minutes to figure it out :)

Superscan is VERY easy to use and will do some common scans very quickly - still, it's not nmap

nmap -A -T4 -F 10.10.10.1

Where 10.10.10.1 is the IP address of your router. Make sure you test from the Internet and not from behind your router.
