Press Release [pressroom.palm.com]

If i have understood it correctly, it will be quite different from the typing Palm uses today.

Not sure I understood it right. Does it imply that the current graffiti will not be supported/recognised any more?

Yup, makes it clear. So now instead of having to learn the graffiti writing from the Palm, users will have the Palm learn to read their handwriting.

Guess it's a good thing, but since I can't read my handwriting myself, I doubt a software will be very successfull at it. Anyone here used software by Jot before? Is it any good?

The Jot system is software at this point (you can dl it already and install it). Jot is configurable and I bet after they 'rom' the new version, there will be downloads that will configure it to support graffiti.
