Do a search on [cms asp free] and you will find a few, not many, but they do exist.

The question did amuse me because I just can't imagine many people buying M$ servers to develop free software. And it certainly isn't likely to be a large group effort like you can get with the FOSS efforts.

Just wondering, why does it have to be ASP? I thought PHP runs on IIS too. And C and perl cgi-bins certainly do.

Is there now way that you can use a server that is running linux or BSD? You will have a much larger selection of free applications.

It isn't a CMS but it can be adapted to function a bit more broadly, like for creating static pages - WordPress is PHP and definitely runs on IIS with very easy installation. And the styles are very easy to modify.

A simple but free one is aspbite... it was the first cms I ever used.

If you want a GREAT cms try out articlelive asp version... it has some cost to it.. but it is all the CMS you could want.

I don't know very much about asp, I use php almost exclusively, but I keep running across this opensource asp cms: [dotnetnuke.com...] .

Good luck.

Thanks for your answer. Actually I have another question because of some of the posts. The reason I am using ASP is my site is on a visual host server with ASP support only. So my question is if it is possible for me to make it support php without any installtion from the visual host company.
