I have been looking at free reprintable articles for a while and have been wondering about the guidelines that go with them.

Most say that 'author credit must be left intact', 'existing links must be left intact', and that the 'article must be published in full and as is'.

In most cases like these, would I allowed to add a link to my own site underneath the authors credits, and then in turn offer it a reprintable article on my site?

Thanks,

You can add a link to your site navigation that goes around the article, but you cannot add your link to the article. "Intact" and "as is" are pretty clear.

If you want a viral link like those articles have, then write your own articles.

What you are suggesting is really pretty slimy, and would infringe on their copyright.

And no to that one, as well. Granting rights to use is not the same as granting rights to redistribute.
