I am building a site and planning on selling a product that needs a certain reader to be viewed.
The company that provides the reader explains(on their website) that the company name has to be displayed a certain way. Meaning that they want the company name text along with the trademark (r) sign next to it.
**The only problem is that they are unclear as to if this relates to someone who is selling their products or if it's for someone providing a link to the download page for the reader.
I've checked countless websites 8) to see if any sites provide the information, but no websites provide it. They just capitalize the the first letter of the word and the second letter of the last word.
Anyways,...
**I am not selling their products. Their company name text will only announce that anyone purchasing needs the "blah blah reader" to view the product. I am merely using their provided icon and creating a link to the download page on their website.
Q. 1.**My question is, do I need to place the trademarks (r) along with the company name(text) or is this for someone who sells their products?
Q. 2. Is it ok to use their name a couple of times on a website. For example in a page about troubleshooting of the reader.
I would mention the name of the company, but were not supposed to mention any company names.

:)
Thank you very much to all forum members.

They don't have an email for those type of questions. They only have specific areas designated for "custumer support" and those require an application type form for *specific* requests for selling or using their icons. This is why I can't email them for this type of request.
I am not selling their products, I just want to create a link to their download page and I am not certain what type of criteria is needed for the exact text link.(the (r) trademark in the company name.) Maybe it's necessary to place it in the text link.
They suggest a specific way,(company name (r) blah blah (r) and [with text...] but not sure if they want that for a *seller* or for a *link* to their downloads page. I found one site that did it with the exact criteria as above, but that's it. Everyone else does not do it. I don't want to create the link the wrong way and possibly get into trouble
(trademark infringement) Anyway, that's why I can't email them.
Thanks for your reply.
