I would like to make a news page that features news stories that is relevant to my topic. Of course can't travel the country and do these stories myself. How can I use others stories with giving them credit?

If I credit the author and the source that I got it from would that suffice?

<edit> that should be NEWS page in the title> <edit>

By finding writers of news and asking them. First you should always ask for permission before posting something written by other people, even if you publish names and place of origin and link to the pages you take the news from. Getting permission is not as hard as one should think, a lot of people are quit happy to have their work published by others.

I would recommend that you look in the blog community first. Many people have blogs, and many blogs have news. You can RSS feed from blogs and in this way have the interesting blogs delivered to you automatic on a daily basis. Many quit interesting people blog, in my country the former statesminister blog, getting permission form well known people to quote their blog should be an option, since many of these people make their living by having as many others se what they publish as possible

Ganderla, you might also try searching for free news feeds. Some news gathering organizations will let you post their headlines on your site.

You can also write your own stories, of course, on widely reported topics.
