Website copyright

One of my website designs has been "lifted" and used, after contacting the user who agreed to have the website re-designed in January nothing has changed.

When I do a lookup on the domain I can find the domain registrar, and the name servers, however the name servers dont relate to any company so I was wondering how I could go about finding who actually hosts the pages so that I can contact the ISP direct.

Any help would be appreciated.

Find out what the server's IP is (use the ping example.com command) and use an IP lookup took to see the owner of the IP block.

ex: www.toolsforselling.com/v1/1/iplookup.htm

Thanks for the info/link I will keep that for future, I did manage to find the host and emailed them, however their response was less than helpful:

"We can't act unilaterally on this as I'm sure you can appreciate. We can only deal with enquiries like this if they are pursued in writing;preferably from a solicitor."

Oh well, I cannot justify the expense bringing in a solicitor so I may well have to let this injustice remain :-(

You might want to submit this to www.pirated-sites.com

If their conscience doesn't bother them, maybe a little public embarassment might.
