MikeRowe story send the waves around the world and another interesting trademark story surfaced.
According to the article in The Sydney Morning Herald [smh.com.au] trademark "Microsoft" was legally registered and is used by a small Australian company which manufactures pillows and quilts.
Apparently there are 44 classes of trademarks and microsoft (the software company) held trademark in only one of them.

Interesting lesson to all trademark owners.

"The opponent (Microsoft) does not appear from the evidence to have had any reputation for padding, stuffing and filling materials".....M$ should be happy about that statement;)

M$ lawyers have to try to keep their company's trademarks. I'm sure they know they are going to lose some cases, but they are required to zealously defend those marks, whatever the obvious outcome maybe.

I'm sure they see many a loss as a victory.
