Depending on the style manual you are following, you might use a numeric footnote or include an inline reference in the text immediately after the quote, e.g.,
("Bill Gates Speaks Out")
or
(Olsen, 2002)
While the credit in the citation is going to the author of the article, obviously you should identify the person quoted. So, perhaps one approach would be,
Even though he's the world's wealthiest person, Bill Gates has said, "I'm really an average guy, except now if my glasses break I buy new ones instead of taping the old ones." (Olsen, 2002)
Perhaps one of our resident English majors can weigh in with more specifics. Of course, the exact approach you use will depend on your use - each publication has its own style which they expect authors to follow.
