Hello All,

I have recently discovered part of one of our webs has been stolen. And I don't mean just a little, but EVERYTHING: Our company name, our company logo, our company copyright logo. They are located in Thailand.

I have read past posts in here but no one has ever stated what the best course of action is to get through this. Here is what I have done so far:

1) Took Screen Shots of numerous pages.
2) Sent e-mail to only address I could find and asked them to remove it and, if they really wanted to use it they could liek to us - no response.
3) Now, they appears right under us in Google, so I e-mail google at webmaster@google.com - nothing.

What are the tried and proven ways to make this come to an end. Please forgive me if there was a post that I missed somewhere if this was covered in it's entirety.

If you care to see for yourself....
Here is our URL snipped
Here is one of theirs: snipped

Thanks,

Travis Rabe

Well at least they are giving you credit for it with backlinks. When you really get ripped off, they don't give you credit.

Apart from talking to a lawyer, you have done all you can providing you ask them to remove it. However, since they are giving you more than one link back and credit, it may help you in G listings not hurt you.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, TravisT. Here's one recent thread on this topic.

If you have contacted the site owner with no luck, I'd go for the web host next.

If you make no progress, find a lawyer who will write some nasty letters for you.

If you send a snail mail to google's mail address, following their procedures, they will deal with it (they did for me) but it must be by normal mail, not e-mail.. It may take a few months, but it does get done. Well done Google.

You can also file a complaint with Google here:

[google.com...]

this will result in the offending site being removed from Google entirely.

Also, contact the host of the offending site and advise them of the infraction. I will bet the site is down in less than a day.
