This works really well for both of us and we can do what we both are good at. Now, he's so happy with the success of the site he wonders what else he can do. So what are the rules of thumb for a pure content writer? He doesn't have control over headings and pagination, but he can change keyword density, use of misspellings, use of acronyms and industry terms, length and breadth of text and content and all other content text related features.
What are the most important things for him to consider? Please note that most headings (h1 and h2) are pre determined, but he can insert h3s at will. Where to use keywords, how thin or thick to spread them and so on.
I've never really worried about keyword density before... how important is it?
I'd appreciate any tips as well as pointers to established sources.
Thanks,
SN
Brett's "successful site" thread talks about some very excellent basic things for a web writer to keep in mind. (Points E, F, O, T, U, V, Z are the most relevant! ;))
Unfortunately those things mostly (except F) cover areas that my content writer has no control over since they are all already taken care of. And we do well more then one page per day ;) That's why we work so well together. I need more info on the writing itself. The scanable text is also a good tip. But I fear it'S as I suspected that beyond keyword density and good, readable english there isn't much he can do, except write more pages ;)
Thanks again for the reply and especially for taking the time and distilling those sections for me. I've passed them all on.
