I searched WW (http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum44/246.htm?highlight=news+feed) and found "some" information on this, but would like to ask the question again and make it more specific.

I have a site where each page is on a different (but related) topic -- "for example" page 1 could be "collectible cars" and page 2 could be "collectible guns".

I'm looking for a newsfeed that:
- is free or really cheap,
- allows me to filter (or select) which topics (by words in new subject, etc.) so that I can produce news that is fairly closely related to the content of the page that the news feed is on,
- is easy to implement (Much prefer to slap js type code into the page's HTML),
- is not an advertising service disguising itself as a news feed,

AND, has other important features that I'm just not informed enough yet to ask about.

Use (or copy) the rssify script from my pages to create RSS feeds from HTML documents of your choice. You could then use one HTML document (that you would have to update) for each category and feed it to the script, which would produce an RSS feed for that category. The link is like http://www.mysite.****/rssify.php?url=http://www.yoursite.yyy/category-news.html. I can sticky you the address with more info on this.
