What should be included?

Hello all,

I'm not exactly new to WebmasterWorld as Ive had several nicks before this, but as I've done in the past, the e-mail address has expired. heh. anyway, this one wont expire, so I'll be using this nick from now on :)

My question is as follows. I am setting up a small site which is trying to include a "community spirit" and as such I've decided to include user profiles. I'm sure you've all seen them, WebmasterWorld has them for example. What I'd like to get your opinion on is what sort of questions should I be asking. Currently, I'm asking for Nickname, Favourite Movie, Favourite Quote, Favourite Website and their geographical location. The web site is based around technological issues, if that helps in your suggestions at all.

i would defenetly recommend 'homepage' and 'email'. what about instant messaging stuff. and what about a top5 on favorite movie and website. i think that's cooler than only one entry.

make shure that the email is not displayed clearly and can't be grabed by a mail-thief.

Yeah I had thought about this idea and I will probably include it when I have the "basics" set up. I'm sure I'll need some help regarding this feature and will be looking at you guys for help no doubt. hehe.

Yeah, there's an option for them to allow the e-mail to be visible or not. It's totally up to the user then.

what about a top5 on favorite movie and website

Oh hadn't thought about that. I like that idea! Could lead to some nice pretty looking statistics and things too. Thanks!
