but i'm from mumbai & it's not a feasible way for me.
Is there any other option to obtain copyright from mumbai?
how webmasters from mumbai do it?
In effect the copyright to your creative work is protected as soon as it's made. If it is yours, so is the copyright. However, and as you're obviously aware, there is always the potential problem of proving that the work is really yours. Registering your copyright legally affords you this proof. I am not a legal counsellor, etc, etc...
Another quick check on the internet shows that the copyright office [wipo.int] in New Delhi has telephones. Although anticipating that the Indian civil service is as red tape obsessed as it always has been, it's probably worth your time contacting them directly and having your queries properly clarified. Good luck!

There is a way to proove your copyright right, mail yourself a copy of your job and dont open an envelope, when times comes you will show off the stamp and date on envelope
No, I'm sorry to say wmuser, that this is just wrong - it's a myth.
Mailing your work to yourself in a sealed envelope might, just might, help show that you may have a claim to the copyright of a given work but it will not be taken as conclusive/legal proof. This is no substitute for legally registering your copyright.
