I making a site for a company and have since finished it using dreamweaver. The company doesn't have anything of the sort, no frontpage, dreamweaver or contributor. However, they want to be able to update things like calendars and dates and all that good stuff. How do i do that without them messing up the code? A friend of mine said that a smart way to do that would be to use a non-html editor but said it would be hard to do that without them having frontpage and all those programs. I was thinking about just giving them cutieftp and something stimple like text editor and then highlighting the spots where they should input the new updates and so on but that might end up in a disaster. how do i make something database driven or how do i use php?

I would say that you need a CMS (Content Management System)

There are many out there. Most in PHP.
