ghostwriting for a client, ok?

Hi,

I have a client who'd like me to ghostwrite some articles to be submitted to article sites, put in his blog, and used for content for his site.

This would be great from an seo perspective: one-way inbound links from other sites who pick up the article, etc.

I've never ghostwritten anything for a client. Is it legal, ethical for me to write something, slap his name on it, and send it out into the world?

thanks,

takayuki

I buy articles like that all the time from people.

Yes.

It occurs all the time. So long as the client has requested and approved what you write on his behalf!

And be sure you have a clear understanding of who has what rights to the content.

ganderla, Matt, Content Writer,

thanks for the tips. i remember awhile back i wanted to write something for a client to be put into a small, local newspaper. i asked the editor if it was okay if i wrote if for the client. she got all huffy; he MUST write the story.

is she full of it?

regards,
takayuki

Yes, she's full of it. The bigger worry is the person who doesn't know
he or she needs a ghostwriter. -Larry
