Hi guys!

Hope this question is in the right category - if not im sorry :-/

Im looking for advice on the following:

I have a long document - its a publication(WORD) i want to convert to HTML format and place on the internet. My problem is i need to split it up in several pages to enhance readability.

It need to have the following at structure(or sort of):

[Front] - [Next page] - [ Previous page ] ect.
- - - - -
Content.
- - - - -
[To top ] - ect.

- much like an ebook.

Anyone know some automatic software to split a document up like i described? - It gonna take me ages if i need to make all the links manual for each page.

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld! I'm not personally familiar with such software, however, I'm sure that one of the other members might be more able to provide some guidance there.

From my perspective, you might even consider fleshing out the heirarchy of subtopics that the document is going to address. Then, group the subtopics by "super topic" so that you have a fully fleshed heirarchy. Then, built out the HTML for this new heirarchy, and provide more keyword rich navigation between the pages.

Eg, - next page as a navigational choice - not the best.
This would be better:

Though I'm sure if you could such a software as you describe, that would help.

Generally speaking, specific product recommendations are against the terms of service [webmasterworld.com] however, general advice & tips are most welcomed and encouraged.
