Using support docs from a manufacturer

Working with someone on a site and they are asking about using support documents from a manufactures site.

Can these be reused with a link back to the original and giving proper credit for the creation?

That depends on the copyright terms on the manufacturers site. Or the copyright holder if that is not the manufacturer.

Generally however: without signed written permission you would be infringing copyright.

If it is not your own original work (or extremely old and off copyright - improbable in your instance) you must acquire written permission from the copyright holder prior to republishing beyond a short 'fair use' snippet. Period.
