Need Many Copywriters

I need a bunch of freelance copy editors who I can get to edit my content really fast after its written. I can't afford a full time copy editor so what I was thinking is I'd get a group of 40 copyeditors. They all get an email when an article is ready to be edited. The first to claim that they can edit it, gets to edit it and gets paid. This way I can get my articles edited super fast. It's not in-depth copyediting, just spelling grammar and sentence structure. I was thinking college students, any one have an idea how to find copy editors?

If you live around a university - contact career services. They will find you a bunch of english major studens ready to work for minimal wage.

You can also try campus papers and flyers.

If you don't have any schools nearby, you can contact site administrators for universities and pay them to place an ad. The ads are usually cheap and will get you the same result as the first option.

Another option is to post a few projects on elance and pick a few writers you can use whenever you need.

I'm sure there are people in this forum who would be interested. I have written plenty of press releases and done a load of proof reading.
