Last month i had asked for help on choosing the appropriate cms, and i got myself 3 choices, drupal, xoops and joomla, the advices and comments wer very much helpful,

i have started off with the joomla, now i am trying to remove it from the system, i tried del it frm the ftp, it says "cannot do tht". . . .help, is ther any uninstaller for joomla or nything like tht?

My main idea is to have a hands on experience on these, so tht i can study the + & - of each and in the process get the best for my site. . . .my nxt cms is xoops. . .

hope you ppl had a rocking new yr.

Try this :

- Go to Joomla admin > Global Configuration > Server.
- Select CHMOD new files / folders to: and enter 0777.
- Check the "Apply to existing files" checkbox and hit Save.

This will CHMOD all your installed files and you will get access to them and you can delete them too.

I hope this helps...
