Good find JOAT.

The spokesman warned that the report did not cover other problematic areas, such as copyright or racism, when ISPs were "being asked to act as judge and jury over content".

Its very hard to envisage that an ISP as a internet gateway, should be responsible for its clients behaviour, but it seems that is the current view taken by the law (UK government).

So basically if you are hosting, providing a gateway to the net, you are responsible for all content of your clients. Not funny.

Well i hope that this gets resolved soon, so that the greyness of it all becomes black and white.

Yeh things really need sorting.

Its like saying the company that owns a football studium is responsible for the conduct of the fans and the players.

I think a lot of individuals take advantage of this as well (if he's doing it and not getting into trouble, then i may as well do it, etc).

I dont think ISPs should have to bear the burden of dealing with complaints, etc. I dont want a commercial organisation judging my sites! :)
