I run a site that has a forum, and database of events but I want to start putting a bunch of articles on the site. Content is king right.

Can anyone recommend a good php article script? Or can I do this with mambo or joomla which I will be looking at next.

Thanks for any realworld advice.

Joomla (formerly Mambo) will do this, as would any number of CMS solutions. They each have their own strengths and weaknesses. I am currently running Joomla on a site for a small to medium size organization (1200+ members). It serves the purpose well, allowing for a private members area, a public area, newsletters, easy content management, user updated member profiles, etc.

I am not convinced that the "SEO friendly" solution Joomla offers is effective, but in this case it doesn not matter that much. I suspect that the SE's see a great deal of duplicated content :(

The SEO comment you made worries me about using this product.
