New Terms of Service Agreements for GG, MSN, Yahoo

No sites will be listed that display a firearm, anybody read about this?

I received this email, due to some of the sites we have built for a few outfitters. Usually I delete all of these, but this one caught my eye with MSN, Google and Yahoo.
Of course the email starts about wanting us to create a link on their site then it goes in to this....
"With MSN, Google and Yahoo putting out their New Terms of Service agreements out that clearly state no sites that even LINK to a site with a firearm on it will be allowed..."
I briefly read google TSA but did couldn't find anything on the "firearm" restriction.

Can anybody help?

Sounds like hogwash! However, it seems that Google does not allow adwords for firearms or knives.

If this is a direct quote, whoever wrote it sure needs to brush up on their english!

Thanks everyone, I thought it was bolderdash myself. Somewhat of an interesting way to try to "scare" people into paying for a link.

I searched MSN and Yahoo and couldn't find a thing. It just seems to me that there would be a lot of hunting, fishing, and manufacturers that would lose out if this was true.

Granted when I work the sites I try to avoid images with firearms in it and clean up any images that need to be politically corrected, if you know what I mean. It would be really difficult to build an outfitter site without somewhere in it a image of a firearm exists.

Again thanks for the input, I didn't think it was worth anything.

hi marcia,

It's been a while, I get so busy with work and with fishing and hunting, it sometimes takes me a while to get here.

How you doing.... and by the way thanks for the info....

I should probably send these emails back this company referening some of the links you just posted.
