how do i get the interview so that it is not only detailed but also informative?
anyone has ne experiance with this kinda thing?

If the individual has written anything in the past (articles, books, ebooks), read it - that may provide some interesting ideas for followup.
You can also review material written by others, like past interviews or articles, to get ideas.
One thing you can do is have more questions ready than you think you'll need. Some answers may turn out to be duds, and you can always edit the length down for your newsletter.
A good interviewer always does enough homework to ask a few non-obvious questions. Celebrities in particular end up answering the same questions time after time, and they usually find it refreshing when an interviewer surprises them with a new and non-superficial question.
