I have just emailed one of our competitors ISP's with regard to copyright infringement.
They copied our navigation layout, 18 articles of high value to us and the articels were word for word exactly what we wrote in house for our site.
Not only that, they decided to copy another of our websites, page for page, word for word, layout the same, nav the same, drop down menu with our articles word for word again.
They even left our "company" name on the enquiry page
(if you are an existing "company name" client please complete the form)
So there is no way the ISP cannot see the blatent infringement.
What do the ISP's normally do next? Do they remove the infringing sites and then inform the owner of the reasons, or do they tell the client to remove the infringing content, and in 1 case here the whole site?
is it worth trying this approach with the big se's as well in case the ISP's don't act on it to try to get him removed?
Any help would be appreciated.

I am in the UK so the DMCA wouldn't help me here.
I did call the ISP to ask about their procedure for dealing with complaints and they gave me their abuse email address.
We have spoken to our solicitors now as well, so if the ISP doesn't do anything we are going for an injunction in court and that will sort it out.
I'll keep everyone posted
cheers
pleading ignorance, didn't know it was wrong, asking us not to take further action.
Told me he spoke to my one of our directors and she supposidly said everything was fine and he was ok, apart from the fact she was sitting beside me and he was lying through his teeth about this. she said it was not ok at all.
How can some people be so stupid, ignorant and a pain in the ring when it comes to this.
ahhhhhhh. it makes me soooo mad.
Will speak to the ISP again to see what they are going to do now.
The story continues.............
