is there anyone here who knows of a cms that about.com uses? or rather similar would be nice too.

the cms's that i have browsed through are all either too complicated or really not seo friendly. here's a list of what im hoping to look for:

1) be able to add articles easily and has an option to add meta descriptions for each article.
2) easily changeable navigation bar.
3) breadcrumb links at the top of the page that extract the title from the article.
4) titles of each page are seo friendly
5) does not require registered users
6) search function

basically all i have are static pages now, all articles and howto's. i would like to convert them to a datebase driven site and using templates from dreamweaver is a real hassle when im moving things around.

Ezpublish - an open source php solution (makes virtual directories but the page file names are all index.php, You can define the page titles, pretty much you can do anything more of a framework then an app)
phpnuke - open source php portal solution (Pretty easy to use app lots of downloadable modules, many hosts will install it for for free)
dotnetnuke - open source .net portal solution (Same idea as phpnuke)

Look around for other open source solutions try cmsinfo.org or cmswatch.com

Try Plone it is open source, works well with mysql another open source.

There a great Sams book on Plone by Julie Meloni
