public domain listening/mp3 content

I want to add listening content to my educational website...mp3's or wav files of news, documentaries, talk shows and the like....

I have found VOA as being one source of copyright-free listening files...does anyone know of others? I asked the BBC about using their streaming audio files recorded onto my PC and transformed into mp3's but they refused, which is fair enough.

so, any others?
