Targeting your copy for your specific audience
Something I have had to deal with is getting into the head of your ideal user. Some copy suits one level of the spectrum and another suits the other, how do you go about writing the content of a site for a mixed audience without patronising either group. An idea I came up with was to have a two tier information structure. The first is to the point and quite short and the second is the more detailed and descriptive/simplified for the lower end of the spectrum (cringe - sound really bad). But this is a very fine line, my aim would be to do it seamlessly without causing offence.

Cheers

You might want to consider breaking it down to bullet points and generalisations for the casual surfer and then offer them a link to "more in-depth information" or "technical info."

I don't see that would be patronising.

It'd also give you better opportunities for new, relevant kewords.
