is there anything like article writing software?

I sometimes write articles but I want more variety or I want it to sound more interesting.

is there a software that can take what i have written and make it better? Maybe better phrases or vocabulary.

What you want is a thesaurus.

No software will make your writing better. Using "big" words is not the calling card of good writing.

If you are not finding the writing interesting, swapping only the words will do little.

If you feel your writing is sub par, try the following:

1. Get a good thesaurus. I happen to love Bartlett's Roget's Thesaurus.

2. Pick up "Element of Style" for $8 at Amazon.

3. Read lots of articles. Find the ones you think are very interesting and starting recognizing why.

Finally, for the love of all that is written, do not use any word alternative unless you know full well what it means and how it should be used. A thesaurus is not an end all solution. It is simply there to give you ideas to ponder. Simply replacing words via software or because you saw it in a thesaurus will have your readers committing intellectual suicide faster than you can say emdash. :D

Good luck!
