Dear webmasters!

I have a question and I hope I will get a reply. If I am reading some text (eg a home address) somewhere on web and I copy-paste this in Microsoft word, is it against copyright laws. I mean is copying the the font used in writing the home address against copyright laws? Do you think Microsoft Word will paste the home address in the own font or it will paste the copied font. I cant tell the difference and this is why I am asking.

I. When you paste into Word (as regular paste), it will use the same font as you copied unless that font is not on your system.

II. Using the same font would be a violation if:
A. The font was proprietary.
B. The font was not free and no fee was paid.

Since you only asked about the font, I will stop there and assume you understand what plagiarism is. Copying an address, as per your example, would not apply.
