Duplicate Content

Would a PDF be considered

We are going to offer our visitors content from our site as PDF's . These are essentially a summary of 1 - 10 pages of information on our site.

Anyone know if we could we be penalized for the PDF as duplicate content with the page(s) within the site? The on site content and the PDF's are both going to be linked from the same page.

If there is no penalty now, who here thinks that this could draw one in the future?

Thanks.

The sort of numbers you're talking about is unlikely to generate a penalty, however, don't assume all the content will be indexed.

If you don't want the pdf's indexed, simply block access to them from being spidered.

Penalized? No.

Summarised information will not be penalised in any case.
