Anyone have a good system/form for getting all the info from writers/content providers in one try?
Now that I'm dealing with more than one writer, I'm spending way too much time just trying to get all the material I need. Is this just par for the course? or has anyone got a good fix?

TvED,
I use a "flat plan" which details the schedule and deadlines for materials. I make sure that the plan allows for some flexibilty (not everything turns up on time) and make sure that any subcontractors understand what/when the deadlines are in the schedule.

In a room full of web or media professionals, this is always the question that will produce the biggest laugh.

engine's suggestion is a good one, but I've found with some small clients, particularly when there's one guy at the top who handles everything, that the contract isn't going to help. I had one client some years back who actually paid in advance and never delivered the material I needed... and I burned up most of the hours that the job would have taken just with memos and false starts trying to nail down the content.

..I laugh and then sometimes, I laugh until I cry. Funny how it often works out, all the long awaited, much requested materials arrive on the same day, always a Friday afternoon...and then I cry some more.
