Are you switching to ES?

With less than a week to go before RH withdraws support, patches, etc., for all Linux versions under 9.0, (which only has 4 months left), what are your thoughts on upgrading to ES?

Are you going to stay with a non-supported version and hope nothing critical happens or have you/are you planning to upgrade to ES/AS?

I'm not directly affected by this, but I have a couple of sites on a managed Red Hat 7.3 server, and the company are going to get updates from Progeny, who are offering updates for 7.2, 7.3 and 8.0 for the same price as Red Hat were offering ($5 a month, I believe). Actually, there is more of a problem for RH9 users, as Progeny aren't offering any support for that version until May 2004, leaving a 5 month gap with no protection.

On newer sites, I would look at Debian or FreeBSD hosting rather than Red Hat.

RedHat is supporting RH9 through to April!

I'm moving to Fedora Core. FC1 was just as stable as earlier RedHat distributions, if not more so than most.
