hi,

I am amateur in the world of linux. I am currently in the process of developing a s/w for "online humanresource management system" which requires to be run on Linux platform. this on develpoment is to be launched on the server. what is the front end and back end available for appropriate implementation? what will be the deployment cost for the same?
sorry to sound ignorant , but is linux complete freeware.
Please reply ASAP, since i am to submit a cost evaluation plan for using LINUX vs Miscrosoft WINdows( front end ASP.net, VB.net ) for my college project work.

It's not freeware, it underlies the GPL license. You should red this license. google for it.
