Outdated Caching of pages

old pages being cached

I have a few Linux boxes running for my site but when I log on to other computers at my location, I receive the outdated index page which I removed a while ago.

I emailed my host and I am just wating for a reply. Could some of you please go to my site and reply to this post with whether or not you see a page stating that we are "under maintenance" as the homepage? The problem is so irritating because I have no idea whether it is server side or not.

BTW, I have emptied my local cache and stopped then started DNS and web services.

Akande, I snipped your URL because posting it is against the TOS.

Regarding your problem, it is most likely your ISPs caching system. Try hitting your reload button and see if you get the current page.

If that doesn't show you the newest page, try grabbing a proxy and viewing your page via it.

If I am misunderstanding you, please explain further.

I get a page that looks like yahoo 3 years ago...

You should try [anonymizer.com...] for checking things like this.

littleman, I believe that my ISP is the problem. I tried a page check prog and the output was fine.
