There are rpms available, but Mandrake was finicky with them. It compiled from the source nicely.
If you use blackbox and are at all into eye-candy it really is a great tool because it allows you to manipulate settings on the fly and save them as a custom theme. Here is one I did [cgi-fun.hypermart.net].
It also has a easy to use menu editor, and a key binding editor.
A quick note about blackbox, I've found it very stable when compiled from the source and that it will occasionally crash when installed via rpm -- I have know idea why. When compiled from the source it never crashes.
