i found the java_vm under home/josh/j2re1.4.1_02. now my? is when i downloaded limewire.bin it said it could not fine java virtual machine well i know its on my machine and it looks like this. java_vm* and its green what do i do.

I have to say this, you keep asking questions here that could be easily answered by doing a *small* amount of reading. What's been going on here is that other people are doing the digging for you.
Try reading the HOWTOs and the documentation first, that's why they are there.
