Anyone know where to find a good description of the structure and syntax of a PPD file? I've got my printer working using the stock PPD from Cupsomatic, but it doesn't have page deffinitions for all the paper sizes I want. (letter, legal, and A4, but I want a couple of envelope and index card sizes as well.

I've tried guessing based on the page size descriptions already there, but I always get the alignment wrong, and I have no idea what units the numbers are in. Most of the documentation I've been able to find just tells me to use my vendor-supplied PPD, but this of course won't work since it's not a PostScript printer, and the vendor therefore provides no such thing. I'm sure I could get it right if I wasted enough paper tweaking numbers, but I figure this has to be a known, documented thing.

You are obviously way ahead of the curve on this one if you are that far. Sorry - not much help on this one. It's the first mention in the forums I can remember.
