I'm perfectly happy with my KDE2.0 setup, but have recently been feeling the upgrade itch. Has anyone moved on to 2.2? Any good reasons to upgrade? Or rather, any really good reasons not to?

Yeah, I did an *upgrade* of all the Q libraries and KDE on mandrake 7.2. It was very nice and a significant improvement. unfortunately I had to uninstall it and reinstall 2.0 because there were some incompatibility issues.
I'll eventually break down and get a distribution bundled with it.
