Yum Updates

I initially used yum to update php and mysql for my server (fedora core 2 using Plesk as control panel). I want to continue with the updates for security. I used atomic rocket turtle to overcome compatibility issues with Plesk. Is it a good idea to run the yum update, or should I go through each one individually?
