Cobalt RAQ4 problem re: SSI

I'm trying to figure out how to allow SSI on .html pages

Does anyone know how to make a Cobalt RAQ parse SSI on non .shtml pages? I would like to use SSI on every .html of a specific site but adding an .htaccess file just seems to crash the site.

Any suggestions?
