Hi,

Hope this is the right thread for this. (Mod, please move thread if it isn't).

I'd like to know if going with CentOS is safe for dedicated hosting? Does it have any drawbacks compared to FreeBSD?

Thanks

According to my knowledge (i'm running hosting co) CentOS is made as a RedHat Enterprise Clone. Much much cheaper, good features, and it's secure.

I've tried it for shared and reseller hosting, and it works just fine. So I think it should be CentOS vs RHE.

FreeBSD is FreeBSD :P
