Hi Guys,

I am at a lost here with what server management software to use for a new dedicated server running Debian.

I have looked at Plesk, Ensim and Cpanel and none of them have a final relesead version for Debian.

Can anyone get me out of my misery and suggest an easy to learn/use software?

Cheers

I've run Webmin [webmin.com] on a number of different Linux boxes (but not a recent Debian) with great success.

On their site, check the Supported Operating Systems for your version. I'll bet it's there.

It's a really easy installation, and it finds pretty much everything you might expect to manage all by itself. Works great.

I third that... I use webmin and my servers are in house. It makes a lot of the mundane admin tasks so much easier than walking to the server room to do some routine task. You can really do most anything you will need with it that doesn't require hands on the hardware. Also, I whitelisted my home i.p. and I can do emergengy admin from home. It is very good, is updated regularly... and free.
