I'm going to install Fedora Core 3 again on Tuesday and I would like to know how best to protect my PC from hackers and Viruses. I know that Fedora Core 3 has a built in Firewall (don’t know if any good though?). I have found some AntiVirus software for Linux BitDefender but I have never tried it and is this the best one to get? I want free stuff only! I will also have Win XP Home installed on 1 hard drive and Fedora Core 3 on another hard drive.
Also what extensions do Fedora Core 3 accept e.g. .rpm .run
