On that server (Linux) I do not have root access

is it doable to install it in my WWW?

if so which version should I use
and how will I do the config?

Thank you

I've never tried it, but there is a very good chance that you can install it into your user account, assuming you have at least command-line access to the machine via SSH. You can simply download the source code and compile it yourself, specifying your local account as the destination.

If you check the documentation for installing:

it mentions that you can configure with the option

--prefix=PATH
to install in a user account.
