phpMyAdmin problem

Can't get mysql to load

Hi guys. I have tried a tutorial on installing Your own server at:
[webmasterstop.com...]
I have successfully installed php, apache,but I have problems with mysql and phpmyadmin. In:
[webmasterstop.com...]
it says to load apache and mysql. And type in "Run" >
"http://localhost/phpMyAdmin/index.php". (I have win 98SE by the way). So when I type the code above it says:
PHPmy Admin ERROR and the error says:
"Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in c:\program files\apache group\apache\htdocs\phpmyadmin\config.inc.php on line 86".

I have configured the file config.inc.php as it says.

Can anyone help.

Take a look at config.inc.php, line 86 (just like the error message says). Is it possible that you added a password maybe and accidentally overwrote something? The values are supposed to be enclosed with single quotes followed by a semicolon (;).
