KDE, Thunderbird and Firefox

Thunderbird URL comes up as file

I have not been able to find the answer to this through searches. I'm using SUSE9.0 and the KDE desktop.

Clicking on a URL in Thunderbird causes the web page to be saved as a temp file and the temp file is opened in Firefox. Of course nothing on the page works. Konquerer does the same thing. This (http://www.webmasterworld.com/stickymail.cgi) is converted to "file:///tmp/login-2.cgi"

I'm sure I'm missing something simple. Any suggestions?

It's a mime type issue. See how URLs are being handled (I think you do it through kfm, edit->applications?)
